The Pettit National Ice Center is honored and delighted to host the 2018 US Olympic Long Track Speedskating Trials, January 2-7, 2018. The Trials formally return to the Oval at the Pettit Center for the first time since 1998. The timing is appropriately coincidental with the 25th Anniversary of the Center, which opened on December 31, 1992. Silver for the Pettit Center as our best speedskaters pursue Gold on its Oval!
Our goal in hosting the Olympic Trials is a well-executed, engaging, professional event for the athletes, fans, and our community and which will burnish Milwaukee’s national reputation. For six nights, there will be the best in US speedskating competition at the Pettit Center. In addition to watching the races on the Oval, fans will be able to enjoy food and beverage in the “fan zone” tent which will be located just east of the front entrance to the Center.
Opportunities for VIP experiences and access will make the events memorable for groups, companies, and organizations. During the week leading up to, during and shortly after the Trials, please note that the Center’s normal public skating, figure skating, ice hockey, and run/walk track activities will change. Please check the activity schedules closely for hours and changes. We thank you for your interest in attending and supporting the Trials at the Pettit.
